Full course description
This course was created for professionals who currently work in any type of diversional or recreational therapy (DRT) setting and want to increase their knowledge and skills of delivering high quality therapeutic services. DRT service delivery occurs across varied practice settings and diagnostic groups, and you will learn about the universal therapeutic process called APIE-D (Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation & Documentation). This process guides DRT practice and is recommended as your roadmap in the delivery of therapeutic activity-based services. The course will provide you with ideas, practice, and resources to elevate the quality and purpose of programs you provide in your workplace. This course has been approved by the New Zealand Society of Diversional & Recreational Therapy for 5 hours of continuing education.
