International Travel Compliance Knowledge Certification

Welcome to the FIU International Travel Compliance Knowledge Certification:​

The individual traveler as well as the University are responsible for meeting all federal and state laws and regulations. It is therefore critically important that all travelersunderstand potential violations and risks associated with non-compliant travel conduct. ​By completing the International Travel Compliance Knowledge Certification, you document your understanding of legal and institutional requirements pertaining to anyuniversity-sponsored or university-related trips you are taking outside of the United States. ​

This certification must be completed by all employees by xxxx in order to travel on FIU related trips regardless if the trip is sponsored by FIU or not. TheTravel Authorization Approval (TAR) process will be disabled for those employees who have not completed this certification by this date. It will be reinstated uponsuccessful completion of this certification. For employees who are familiar with the institution’s international travel requirements, the completion of this certification should not take longer than 8-12 minutes.
