FY24/25 Budget Process - Newcomer Training (In-Person)

Newcomer (offered In-Person only) - This slower paced workshop will review the fundamentals of budgeting at FIU and provide step-by-step instructions on how to use the tools available for submitting the Forecast and Requested Budget. The tools to be covered include Detail Budget Maintenance (DBM), Position Tool, Cash Transfer Tools, and the OPS Worksheet. This workshop is highly recommended for budget newcomers, and attendees should watch the videos located below which cover Budget 101 fundamentals prior to attending.

Please note, instructions on how to use the DSO Reimbursement Tool will be covered in the Foundation Training, and how to run budget reports and analyze the results are covered in separate workshops. Please be sure to register for those workshops.
