Full course description
HWCOM OSHA Biosafety: Blood-borne and Airborne Pathogens Course will introduce the major types of infection control guidelines to prevent transmission of: blood-borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and pathogens spread by contact. Define and provide examples of techniques and universal precautions most pertinent to healthcare professionals to meet federal OSHA regulations. Also, to provide an outline of the post-exposure procedures that one must follow while a student at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
