This 2-month training has been developed to prepare members of the community to apply for contact tracing positions should they become available from the Florida Department of Health. The curriculum covers the essentials of contact tracing, as well as the ways COVID-19 has impacted the South Florida community and the role contact tracing may have in limiting that impact. The first phase of the training consists of self-paced study, and the second phase consists of weekly meetings with an instructor. Session topics include:

• Strategies to control infectious diseases and COVID-19
• Health disparities and COVID-19
• Community-based approaches to contact tracing
• Interactive discussions of good and bad examples of contact tracing
