Full course description
The Office of Auxiliary and Enterprise Development (AED) is proud to present the Brown Bag Lunch and Learn initiative. This is a casual conversation between you and the members of AED Team to talk about questions that you may have about budgets, auxiliaries, new ventures, and other topics related to Auxiliaries and Enterprise matters. This is also an opportunity to receive tips from other members of our community regarding our daily activities.
We will be covering topics including the difference between fund balance deficits and budget deficits, what budget exceptions are and how to address them, how to fill out a budget authority amendment form (BAA), how to request a new auxiliary activity number, among other topics.
These sessions are completely virtual and are available to anyone interested.
In this session, we will delve into the process of running the XA Report, which is considered the most valuable auxiliary report. This report provides comprehensive information, including the beginning and ending fund balance, budget and actuals at the budgetary and GL account level, and detailed breakdown by period. It is important to note that the XA Report can be generated for any fiscal year of interest.
