Welcome to PEP Training for Managers: 2025–2026 Cycle!
The Performance Excellence Process (PEP) supports professional growth through meaningful performance conversations between managers and employees. This training will help you understand the process and your role in creating fair evaluations, meaningful goals, and ongoing employee development.
By viewing the presentation recording and completing the assessment, you will learn how to:
- Understand the purpose and annual cycle of the Performance Excellence Process (PEP)
- Deliver meaningful, objective feedback using the STAR and STAR+ frameworks
- Understand performance ratings and recognize common evaluation biases
- Create SMART goals that align with the employee's role, FIU's priorities, and professional growth
- Navigate the PEP document, workflow, key deadlines, and available resources
- Support employee development through career conversations and professional development opportunities, including Next Is Now Future Focused Literacies
