Full course description
Loneliness is a shared human experience, yet many carry it in silence. About one in three adults in the U.S. experience loneliness. In a culture shaped by constant busyness, digital connection, major life transitions, and pressure to appear “fine,” it’s easy to feel disconnected from ourselves and others.
This workshop invites participants to reframe loneliness as a meaningful signal rather than something to avoid. Together, we will deepen understanding of loneliness, social isolation, and solitude, while exploring how nervous system regulation supports a sense of safety and calm. Participants will learn about the power of co-regulation and how connection with self, others, nature, and sources of meaning can restore balance and belonging. Through reflection and practical tools, attendees will identify pathways to connection and explore gentle, heart-centered responses to moments of loneliness.
This workshop will be facilitated by an Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) professional.
