Being Connected - Building Meaningful Relationships with Family, Friends, and Colleagues
Self-paced
1 credit
Full course description
Humans are wired for connection! A key element of well-being, happiness, and fulfillment in life is having meaningful interpersonal relationships.
In the Harvard Gazette, Liz Meneo shared the following result of the Harvard Study of Adult Development: “Close relationships, more than money or fame, are what keep people happy throughout their lives. Those ties protect people from life’s discontents, help to delay mental and physical decline, and are better predictors of long and happy lives than social class, IQ, or even genes.”
Being Connected - Building Meaningful Relationships with Family, Friends, and Colleagues will discuss characteristics of a meaningful relationship and will provide tools to develop and maintain strong social bonds. This workshop will be facilitated by an Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) professional.
