FIU is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of patient protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA, state law Privacy Rules, and FIU HIPAA policies and procedures.  The purpose of this module is to provide you with the tools necessary to protect the privacy and rights of our patients and to further inform you of your responsibilities. This module is intended for all Workforce members who interact with patients, including, but not limited to, health care providers, nurses, certified medical assistants, front desk personnel, and schedulers.
