In order comply with institutional standards for an incident and breach response plan, the purpose of the plan is to ensure that certain types of incidents, including breaches of privacy are properly documented, communicated and elevated by the department, division or unit that is responsible for applying policies and procedures in order to protect the confidentiality of private information on FIU systems. Responding parties are expected to seek guidance in accordance with this document, and to fully cooperate with FIU’s Incident Response Team. This policy acknowledgement will assist you in meeting standards related to FIU’s incident response plan and procedures for privacy and data incidents.
