Applying Relationship-Rich Practices to Support First-Gen Students

Designed for FIU faculty and staff, this microcredential prepares participants to build stronger, more intentional relationships that support first-gen students’ belonging, engagement, and success. Participants will leave prepared to recognize and respond to first-gen students’ needs, communicate institutional resources more effectively, and implement at least one first-gen-affirming practice in their teaching, mentoring, advising, or other student-facing work.
