Full course description

Cybersecurity is a rapidly evolving threat in the digital work place across public and nonprofit enterprises. Ransomware threats have become significant for leaders to deal with as many critical services are provided online and sensitive personal data are stored on the cloud. Organizational leaders should understand the cyber-security impacts of their decisions. Florida Statute 282.318 has added requirements for cybersecurity education to public sector employees. The micro-credential is for aspiring and existing managers/ leaders in public and nonprofit organizations. As the course is cybersecurity governance focused, the contents are largely non-technical in nature. Learners will get exposure to cybersecurity management and leadership skills, cybersecurity framework (e.g. zero-trust) components, ransomware preparedness, and risk management. Earners of this badge are equipped with valuable tools that leaders can use to be prepared for, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity events.
