This course is for any FIU faculty or staff that will require the use of forklifts as part of their job, or if a future need to use one is foreseeable.  

The completion of this course is required prior to use of any forklift at FIU.

Upon completion of this course, you will learn how to:

• Safely operate and maneuver a forklift
• Perform pre-operation checks
• Recognize potential hazards and threats
• Report safety concerns
• Schedule maintenance

To attend this training, you must be a current faculty, staff, or Human Resources registered entity of the University.

Students and non-registered entities of the University are not allowed to operate forklifts.
